Description
Our RAD-140 liquid comes as 30mL of ready-made solution at 10mg/mL, so each bottle holds 300mg of RAD-140, a nonsteroidal selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM). This batch tested at 99.64% purity. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
About RAD-140
RAD-140 (testolone, also called vosilasarm) is a nonsteroidal SARM developed by Radius Health. In preclinical work it showed strong activity in muscle with much less effect on the prostate and seminal vesicles than testosterone.
Radius later studied it in breast cancer, where it acts on androgen receptors in tumor cells. It isn’t an approved medicine.
How RAD-140 works
RAD-140 binds the androgen receptor and drives androgen-responsive gene activity in muscle and bone, with partial activity in the prostate. In monkeys it raised lean mass at exposures that left prostate size mostly unchanged.
In ER-positive breast cancer cells, switching on the androgen receptor holds back estrogen-driven growth, which is why Radius tested it there. Rodent work also suggested it protects neurons in culture.

What the research says about RAD-140
The founding paper is Miller and colleagues, ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2011, which described RAD-140’s discovery and its tissue selectivity in rats and monkeys.
A phase 1 trial in women with advanced ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer reported its pharmacokinetics and side effects, including liver enzyme rises in some patients.
The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search for RAD-140 studies to start from.
RAD-140 compared with similar compounds
RAD-140 liquid is easier to place once you see it next to the compounds it’s usually compared with. RAD-140 showed strong muscle selectivity in monkeys and was trialed in breast cancer. The others:
- MK-2866 is the most studied SARM, with a phase 2 trial in cancer-related muscle loss
- LGD-4033 binds the androgen receptor very tightly and has a published phase 1 study
- S4 Andarine is a partial androgen receptor agonist, one of the first SARMs from GTx
- YK-11 is a steroidal partial agonist that raises follistatin in muscle cells
- MK-677 is an oral ghrelin mimic that raises GH and IGF-1, not a SARM
- GW501516 is a PPAR-delta agonist that shifts muscle toward burning fat, not a SARM
Only the first five act on the androgen receptor. MK-677 and GW501516 are sold alongside SARMs because they’re studied for body composition too, but they work through different receptors. See them all on our SARMs page.
Working with RAD-140 liquid
The concentration is 10mg/mL, so the math is simple: every 1mL holds 10mg, and every 0.1mL holds 1mg. The whole 30mL bottle holds 300mg.
Most labs measure with a 1mL measuring dropper marked in 0.1mL steps. The dropper built into the cap is handy for transfers but not precise enough for measuring.
How to store RAD-140 liquid
Keep RAD-140 liquid at room temperature with the cap tight, out of direct sunlight. It doesn’t need a fridge. Wipe the dropper tip before you put the cap back so nothing dries in the threads.
RAD-140 liquid quality and batch records
The current batch of RAD-140 liquid tested at 99.64% purity by mass spectrometry and UV (HPLC) analysis. That figure comes from the batch report, not a marketing estimate, and it’s the reason we list the exact number instead of rounding up.
Note the batch number on the label when the bottle arrives. That’s what the certificate of analysis is filed under, and we’ll send you a copy on request.
If a result looks off, check the batch number first, then your handling notes. Most problems with RAD-140 come from storage or mixing, not the material.
