What are skin and tanning peptides?

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys bound to copper. It was first found in human plasma in 1973, and lab work links it to collagen production and wound repair. SNAP-8 is an eight-amino-acid peptide studied in wrinkle research, where it competes with a protein muscles need to contract.

Melanotan II is a cyclic version of alpha-MSH, the hormone that tells skin cells to make melanin. Glutathione is studied in skin research for its effect on the type of melanin cells produce.
