Description
Pramipexole liquid is Pramipexole, a non-ergot dopamine agonist, supplied as a 30mL liquid at 2mg/mL (60mg per bottle). This batch tested at 99.78% purity. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is Pramipexole?
Pramipexole is a non-ergot dopamine agonist from Boehringer Ingelheim, approved in the US in 1997 as Mirapex for Parkinson’s disease and later for restless legs syndrome.
It acts on the D2 family of dopamine receptors and binds D3 receptors most strongly.
How Pramipexole works
Parkinson’s disease kills the dopamine-making neurons that feed the striatum. Pramipexole works downstream of that loss by stimulating dopamine receptors directly, so it doesn’t need the dying neurons to make dopamine.
Its preference for D3 receptors in the limbic system is what links it to mood and reward research. That same action is behind the impulse control problems reported in some patients.

Published Pramipexole studies
The CALM-PD trial, published in JAMA in 2000, compared starting Parkinson’s treatment with pramipexole or with levodopa and found fewer movement complications with pramipexole.
Research also covers its effects in depression and on the brain’s reward system, where D3 receptors are concentrated.

Pramipexole compared with similar compounds
Labs choosing Pramipexole liquid usually weigh it against a few close relatives. Pramipexole is a dopamine agonist with a preference for D3 receptors, while:
- Clenbuterol is a long-acting beta-2 agonist studied for airway and muscle effects
- Tadalafil blocks PDE5 to boost the nitric oxide and cGMP signal
- Finasteride blocks 5-alpha reductase type 2 and cuts DHT
- Ketotifen Fumarate is an H1 antihistamine that also stabilizes mast cells
These liquids don’t share a research area. Each is a well-characterized approved drug from its own class, sold here as a reference compound for lab work. See them all on our research liquids page.
How to measure Pramipexole liquid
The concentration is 2mg/mL, so the math is simple: every 1mL holds 2mg, and every 0.1mL holds 0.2mg. The whole 30mL bottle holds 60mg.
For accurate volumes, draw with a graduated 1mL measuring dropper instead of the cap dropper. It’s marked in 0.1mL steps, so you can measure to the nearest tenth of a milliliter.
Pramipexole liquid storage and shelf life
Keep Pramipexole liquid at room temperature with the cap tight, out of direct sunlight. It doesn’t need a fridge. Wipe the dropper tip before you put the cap back so nothing dries in the threads.
Pramipexole liquid quality and batch records
The current batch of Pramipexole liquid tested at 99.78% purity by mass spectrometry and UV (HPLC) analysis. That figure comes from the batch report, not a marketing estimate, and it’s the reason we list the exact number instead of rounding up.
The label on each bottle shows the compound, the strength and the batch. Ask us for the certificate of analysis for your batch and we’ll email it over.
Write the batch number in your lab notes when you open a new bottle. If you ever need to compare results between orders, that’s the detail you’ll want.

Common questions about Pramipexole liquid
How much is in the Pramipexole liquid bottle?
30mL of solution at 2mg/mL, which is 60mg in total. The amount is printed on the label.
Is there a COA for Pramipexole liquid?
Yes. Each batch has a certificate of analysis filed under the batch number on the label. Email us that number and we’ll send it.
Does Pramipexole liquid need mixing?
No. It’s already a solution in a dropper bottle, so there’s no powder to reconstitute.
How should I store it?
At room temperature, out of direct sunlight, with the cap screwed on tight. It doesn’t need a fridge.
Can Pramipexole be used in people or animals?
No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
