SERMs and Aromatase Inhibitors

Our SERMs and aromatase inhibitors are 30mL research liquids covering both ways of studying estrogen signaling: anastrozole, letrozole and exemestane, which stop estrogen being made, and tamoxifen citrate, clomiphene citrate and raloxifene, which change how the estrogen receptor responds.

What are SERMs and aromatase inhibitors?

Aromatase is the enzyme that turns androgens into estrogens. Anastrozole and letrozole block it reversibly, and exemestane disables it permanently. All three are approved breast cancer drugs and standard lab tools for cutting estrogen synthesis.

SERMs, selective estrogen receptor modulators, leave estrogen levels alone but act differently in each tissue. Tamoxifen blocks estrogen in breast tissue. Clomiphene blocks its feedback in the brain, which raises LH and FSH. Raloxifene acts like estrogen in bone.

How to choose SERMs and aromatase inhibitors

If your question is about estrogen levels, use an aromatase inhibitor. If it’s about the estrogen receptor in a particular tissue, use a SERM. Many studies compare the two directly, as the ATAC and STAR trials did.

Anastrozole, letrozole, tamoxifen and clomiphene have buy 2 get 1 free deals and bulk packs. Raloxifene comes in bulk packs of up to 300 bottles.
