About Glutathione
Glutathione is the tripeptide glutamate-cysteine-glycine. It’s the main antioxidant inside cells and is used in detox reactions.

Glutathione mechanism of action
Glutathione’s cysteine carries a thiol group that hands an electron to free radicals and peroxides, neutralizing them. Two oxidized glutathione molecules then pair up, and the enzyme glutathione reductase recycles them back to the active form.
It’s also used by glutathione S-transferases to tag toxins for removal, and it keeps vitamins C and E in their active forms.

Reconstituting Glutathione 600mg
The volume of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 600mg:
- 3mL of water gives 200mg/mL
- 5mL of water gives 120mg/mL
- 10mL of water gives 60mg/mL
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
How to store Glutathione 600mg
