Description
Our CJC-1295 DAC 2mg vial holds 2mg of lyophilized CJC-1295 DAC, a long-acting GHRH analog. This batch tested at 99.67% purity. It’s intended for lab research only.
About CJC-1295 DAC
CJC-1295 with DAC is modified GRF(1-29), the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone releasing hormone with four substitutions, plus a lysine carrying a maleimide linker. That linker is the drug affinity complex, made by ConjuChem in Montreal.
Once in the blood, the DAC bonds to albumin. That takes the half-life from minutes to about a week, which is the whole difference between this peptide and CJC-1295 no DAC.
How CJC-1295 DAC acts in the lab
The peptide part works like GHRH. It binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotroph cells and switches on the cAMP pathway that drives GH release and GH gene expression.
The DAC linker reacts with a free cysteine on albumin, so the peptide rides around on a protein that lasts weeks. That gives a steady, long GHRH signal instead of the short burst you get from sermorelin or CJC-1295 no DAC.

Published CJC-1295 DAC studies
Teichman and colleagues reported in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2006 that single injections in healthy adults raised GH for about six days and IGF-1 for up to two weeks.
A follow-up paper by Ionescu and Frohman found that GH stayed pulsatile on CJC-1295, with higher baseline levels between pulses. Development stopped after phase 2.

CJC-1295 DAC compared with similar compounds
Labs choosing CJC-1295 DAC 2mg usually weigh it against a few close relatives. CJC-1295 DAC binds albumin and lasts about a week, giving a raised GH baseline instead of short pulses, while:
- CJC-1295 No DAC is a stabilized GHRH(1-29) with a half-life of about 30 minutes, giving short, natural-looking pulses
- Sermorelin is the unmodified first 29 amino acids of GHRH, broken down within minutes
- Tesamorelin is full-length GHRH with a fatty acid cap, the only GHRH analog currently approved as a drug in the US
These are all GHRH analogs, acting on the same receptor. The real difference is how long each one lasts, which decides whether you get short pulses or a raised baseline. See them all on our growth hormone peptides page.
CJC-1295 DAC 2mg reconstitution and concentration
Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the liquid you add. With 2mg in this vial:
- 1mL of water gives 2mg/mL
- 2mL of water gives 1mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
Storing CJC-1295 DAC 2mg
The dry powder keeps best cold. A freezer at -20°C is ideal for long-term storage, and a fridge works for a few weeks. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
A 10-slot vial case keeps open and sealed vials upright and apart, which makes the fridge shelf a lot easier to manage. For transport, the Blue Sky hard storage box is the sturdier option.
CJC-1295 DAC 2mg purity and testing
The current batch of CJC-1295 DAC 2mg tested at 99.67% purity by mass spectrometry and UV (HPLC) analysis. That figure comes from the batch report, not a marketing estimate, and it’s the reason we list the exact number instead of rounding up.
Note the batch number on the label when the vial arrives. That’s what the certificate of analysis is filed under, and we’ll send you a copy on request.
Write the batch number in your lab notes when you open a new vial. If you ever need to compare results between orders, that’s the detail you’ll want.
