Description
Epithalon 10mg is a 10mg vial of Epithalon, a synthetic tetrapeptide, supplied by Blue Sky Peptide as freeze-dried powder. This batch tested at 93.13% purity. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
Epithalon at a glance
Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. Vladimir Khavinson’s group developed it.
It’s studied in aging research.
Epithalon mechanism of action
Epitalon is modeled on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. The pineal gland produces melatonin, and the original work looked at how it changed with age.
In cell culture, Khavinson’s group reported that epitalon switched on telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds the protective caps on chromosome ends. Its other reported effects include normalizing melatonin rhythms in older animals.

What the research says about Epithalon
Khavinson and colleagues reported that epitalon activated telomerase and lengthened telomeres in human fibroblast cultures (2003).
Rodent studies from the same group reported longer lifespans and fewer tumors.

Epithalon 10mg vs related compounds
Here’s how Epithalon 10mg fits among related compounds. Epithalon is the tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, studied for telomerase activity. By comparison:
- NAD+ is the coenzyme behind cell energy and sirtuin activity, whose levels fall with age
- SS-31 targets cardiolipin on the inner mitochondrial membrane
- Glutathione is the cell’s main antioxidant tripeptide
- MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide coded in mitochondrial DNA, studied for glucose use in muscle
- GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen and skin repair
Aging research splits into a few processes, and each of these compounds targets one: telomeres, cell energy, mitochondria, oxidative stress or tissue repair. See them all on our anti-aging peptides page.
Reconstituting Epithalon 10mg
Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the liquid you add. With 10mg in this vial:
- 1mL of water gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of water gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of water gives 3.33mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label.
Bacteriostatic water is the usual choice. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can shear peptide chains. Skip it.
How to store Epithalon 10mg
Store sealed vials of Epithalon 10mg in the freezer (-20°C) or the fridge (2 to 8°C), out of direct light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
If you keep several vials going at once, our vial storage case holds ten upright with room for labels, and the hard storage box protects them in a shared freezer or in transit.
Epithalon 10mg purity and testing
Purity for this batch of Epithalon 10mg came back at 93.13% by HPLC and mass spectrometry. That’s the figure for the batch currently in stock.
Note the batch number on the label when the vial arrives. That’s what the certificate of analysis is filed under, and we’ll send you a copy on request.
Keep the batch number with your records. It’s the quickest way to match a vial to its paperwork later.

Common questions about Epithalon 10mg
How much is in the Epithalon 10mg vial?
10mg of freeze-dried powder. The amount is printed on the label.
Is there a COA for Epithalon 10mg?
Yes. Each batch has a certificate of analysis filed under the batch number on the label. Email us that number and we’ll send it.
What do I mix Epithalon 10mg with?
Sterile bacteriostatic water is the usual choice. The reconstitution section above shows the concentration for each volume.
How should I store it?
Sealed vials keep at room temperature in transit. For storage, use the freezer long term or the fridge for a few weeks. Once mixed, refrigerate and use within about 28 days.
Can Epithalon be used in people or animals?
No. It’s sold for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
