Description
The 1mL measuring dropper is a clear, needle-free oral-style syringe marked in 0.1mL steps. It’s the tool we recommend for drawing an exact volume from any of our 30mL research liquids, and at $1.99 it’s the cheapest thing in the store.
Why use a 1mL measuring dropper?
Every Blue Sky research liquid comes in a glass bottle with a dropper built into the cap. That cap dropper is fine for moving liquid from one container to another, but it has no useful markings, and drop size changes with how hard you squeeze. If your work depends on knowing the volume, you need something graduated.
A 1mL measuring dropper solves that. The barrel is printed with lines every 0.1mL, the plunger has a rubber seal, and the tip is a plain nozzle with no needle. Pull back to the line you want, check it at eye level, and you’ve got the volume to within a tenth of a milliliter.
What the measuring dropper is made for
It’s sized for the liquids we sell. Our concentrations are stated per milliliter, so a 1mL barrel lines up with the label. Some examples:
- LGD-4033 liquid at 10mg/mL: 0.1mL holds 1mg, 1mL holds 10mg
- Anastrozole liquid at 1mg/mL: 0.1mL holds 0.1mg, 1mL holds 1mg
- T3 Liothyronine liquid at 100mcg/mL: 0.1mL holds 10mcg, 1mL holds 100mcg
- MK-677 Ibutamoren liquid at 25mg/mL: 0.1mL holds 2.5mg, 1mL holds 25mg
Those are just concentrations worked out from the label. What volume you use is set by your own protocol.

How to get an accurate reading
Push the plunger all the way down before you put the tip into the liquid, so you aren’t pulling in air. Draw a little past the line you want, turn the dropper tip-up, tap out any bubbles and push back down to the line. Read the edge of the plunger seal, not the far end of it.
If the liquid is a suspension, like our Raloxifene or Finasteride liquids, shake the bottle first. Particles settle fast, and a draw from the top of an unshaken bottle won’t match the label.
Cleaning and reuse
For the most accurate work, use a fresh dropper for each compound so nothing carries over from one bottle to the next. If you do reuse one for the same liquid, rinse it with clean water, pull air through it a few times and let it dry tip-down. They’re cheap enough that most labs keep a handful on the bench and label each one by compound.
Pair it with a research liquid
Every bottle in our SARMs and SERMs and aromatase inhibitors ranges is 30mL, and the full research liquids page lists the rest, from Clenbuterol liquid to Tadalafil liquid. Add one measuring dropper per bottle and you’re set up to measure each one cleanly.
Storing vials as well? The vial storage case and the hard storage box each hold ten vials, and both are on our lab supplies page.
Common measuring mistakes
Most volume errors come from a few habits. Reading the line from above or below instead of at eye level shifts the reading. Leaving an air bubble in the barrel means less liquid than the markings show. Drawing slowly from a bottle that’s almost empty pulls air in with the liquid. And reusing a dropper that still has the last compound in the tip adds a little of something you didn’t plan for.
Each of those is easy to avoid with a 1mL measuring dropper and a steady routine: plunger down, draw past the line, tip up, tap, push back to the line, then read at eye level. It takes ten seconds and makes your numbers repeatable from one day to the next.
Writing it down
Whatever volume you draw with the 1mL measuring dropper, note it with the compound, the concentration from the label, the batch number and the date. Because our liquids list their strength per milliliter, a note like 0.3mL of a 10mg/mL bottle is all anyone needs to work out the amount later.
1mL measuring dropper FAQ
Does it have a needle?
No. It’s a needle-free dropper with a plain nozzle tip, made for measuring and transferring liquid.
How precise is it?
The barrel is marked every 0.1mL, so you can measure to the nearest tenth of a milliliter.
Do I need one for every bottle?
One per compound is best, so nothing carries over from one liquid to the next.
Is it in stock?
Yes, the 1mL measuring dropper is in stock at $1.99.
Buy a 1mL measuring dropper
The 1mL measuring dropper costs $1.99 and is in stock. Add one to your cart with each research liquid you order. If you want the evidence on why graduated syringes measure better than droppers and cups, there’s a body of published work on measuring accuracy worth a look.
