Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II: a research guide
Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II is a 10mg freeze-dried vial at 99.51% purity, available singly or in bulk packs of 50 to 200. This guide covers what Melanotan II is, the research behind it, its link to PT-141 and the prices.

What is Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II?
Melanotan II is a synthetic, cyclic seven-amino-acid analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It was developed at the University of Arizona in the late 1980s and 1990s, by a team that included Mac Hadley and Robert Dorr, as part of a search for a sunless way to darken skin and lower skin cancer risk.
Unlike natural alpha-MSH, it isn’t selective. It activates several melanocortin receptors, including MC1R in pigment cells and MC4R in the brain, which explains why its effects in studies went beyond tanning.
Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II prices
- Single 10mg vial: $32.47 (list $49.95)
- Bulk packs: 50 vials for $1,097.50 ($21.95 each), 100 vials for $1,995 ($19.95 each), 200 vials for $3,790 ($18.95 each)

What the Melanotan II research shows
Early human studies from the Arizona group reported increased skin pigmentation. They also reported spontaneous erections in male volunteers, which Wessells and colleagues followed up in the Journal of Urology in 1998. Side effects in those studies included nausea and facial flushing. To read the papers, start with this PubMed search for Melanotan II.
Melanotan II and PT-141
- Melanotan II 10mg: from $32.47, 99.51% pure
- PT-141 (Bremelanotide) 10mg: $35.72, 99.63% pure
- GHK-Cu 50mg Copper Peptide: $53.92, 99.96% pure
- SNAP-8 10mg: from $26.62, 99.83% pure
The sexual arousal findings led to bremelanotide, also called PT-141, a closely related peptide that was later approved in the US for a specific use in women. It’s a common comparison compound for Melanotan II research. For skin work that doesn’t involve pigment, see GHK-Cu and SNAP-8 in the skin and tanning peptides range.
Buying Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II in bulk
Melanotan II is one of the 22 products with bulk packs. A single 10mg vial is $32.47, the 50 pack works out at $21.95 a vial and the 200 pack at $18.95. Each vial is sealed and labeled with its own batch number, and we’ll send the COA for any batch you receive. See the wholesale research peptides page for the other bulk products.
Storing Blue Sky Peptide Melanotan II
Keep sealed vials in the freezer for long storage, away from light. A 10mg vial with 2mL of sterile diluent gives 5mg/mL. Once mixed, refrigerate and use within about 28 days.
